This splendid photograph was taken at Gangaur Ghat near the City Palace, located in the heart of the 'City of lakes' Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. Built in the 16th century by the ruler of the Mewar dynasty on the eastern bank of the lake Pichola and popularly known as “the lake of changing colors”, it is a major tourist destination in Udaipur. This picture depicts the range of old Havelis in the backdrop of the lake. It was shot during the holy festival of Diwali, otherwise known as the “Festival of Lights”.

The photograph was taken by Dr. Manmohan Singh, Professor of neurosurgery at AIIMS, New Delhi. He used a Canon EOS 6D on stand with 24 mm, shutter speed 1/30 sec, aperture of F10, and ISO 100.
