This picture has been contributed by Dr. Sajad Arif, Associate Professor, Department of Neurosurgery, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

It is every human being's dream, while gazing at the fascinating sky above, to undertake a journey that is beyond the realm of one's wildest imagination…'to boldly go where no man has gone before'… The universe is in a state of dynamic balance and is constantly receiving various forms of energy. The cosmic dust, the radiation, the gas molecules, the stars, the planets, the forces of energy and the gravitational waves, which fill all universal space, are also powerful creators and regulators of human existence in life. Intuitively, the human being realises that he/she is but a miniscule part of the 'whole', in communion with the universe, constantly surrounded by it and interacting with it… ...and this picture really looks to be one of His masterpieces! This picture of the early morning sun valiantly chasing clouds of varying hues was shot at the midway night stay camp while trekking 32 kilometres from Pahalgam to Chumnai lake in the state of Jammu and Kashmir. This has been taken with a Nikon 5200,18-55mm, ISO 180, 18mm, f/8, 1/250
