Sir,

I read with interest the article by Pandey et al.,[1] on the highest cited papers published in Neurology India from 1993 to 2014. Although the authors are to be congratulated for gathering this important information and analyzing it, I am concerned about the accuracy of the results of their study after I discovered that one of the articles authored by me was not included as one of the most cited papers.[2] This review on the management of hydrocephalus in patients with tuberculous meningitis has been cited 60 times from 2009 (when it was published) till 2015 (the cut off year used by the authors for counting the citations) and 52 times till 2014. This citation count was obtained using Google Scholar, the same search engine that was used by the authors. It would therefore, rank as joint 26th most cited paper and be in the top 10 in the citations per year rank list (10 citations per year). It is intriguing as to how the authors missed this article. It is possible that there are other papers overlooked by the authors and hence, my concern about the accuracy of their results.
