This picture has been contributed by Dr. Sajad Arif, Associate Professor, Department of Neurosurgery, Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences, Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir.

This was clicked while travelling from Anantnag to Srinagar, a journey that normally takes an hour but had stretched to an excruciating five hours due to traffic jams and security checks. We were at the end of our patience and frustration was at its peak… and then, just when there was some breakthrough in the traffic movement, my eyes fell upon this lovely spectacle, which again made me stop, for I just had to capture it. The golden tips of the bleak peaks looked like a glimmer of hope amidst despair. It was as if the prolonged traffic jam was preordained to allow me to witness this beautiful spectacle at the right moment. A moment in time, captured for eternity…isn't that how all scientific discoveries related to astronomy and space have been made…a serendipitous moment when a mind born to succeed established a special communion with nature…and the entire universe conspired to grant the desired wish. This picture has been taken using a Nikon D500 Sigma 150-600mm, ISO 250, 150mm, f/20 1/20
